Thailand, its language, culture and people have been a preoccupation since I first lived  there there as an American Peace Corps Volunteer, one of thirty-one in Group XIX who arrived in Bangkok in August, 1967. 

Here you'll find something of that personal experience, original writings and excerpts of my English translation of Maitree Limpichart's memoir of his life as a Buddhist monk at a hilltop temple in Mae Hong Son, the northwestern-most province of Thailand.
